I just realized that I can post some of my China IL work now that the episodes are airing again! It’s pleased great working on the show with Brad Neely. I’ve learned so much, the experience has been such a pleasure.

Everything is from the episode Frankensteve with the exception of the Helen Keller poster on the bottom right (that’s from the new years special episode). She’s based on Brad’s drawing of her form the original China IL pitch

I try my hardest not to laugh at Anne Frank references, but when I was watching China, IL and saw the poster on the library wall in this scene, I just about lost my shit.

Somebody noticed Martin’s poster! Why don’t they notice my version in the fantasy sequence…

I enjoy China, IL, far more than I thought I would.  For whatever reason I expected the art style to put me off, but Titmouse’s fluid animation makes that super-clean style so dynamic (even if Steve reminds me of that Braingames egghead guy).  Academic humor is also dear to my heart, since my as-yet dayjob puts me right in the thick of it.
